Kolumbus has just opened a new and free bus route in Stavanger. It’s called “the zero bus” because it’s free and because the bus route itself makes zero shape through the city centre. The zero bus starts and finishes its route at the bus terminal and has seven stops: The bus terminal (bus stop 15) – Torget – Skagen – Holmen – Jorenholmen – Klubbgata – Domkirke (the cathedral). You can of course get on and off the bus where you want. The bus departs every ten minutes between 08.00 and 20.00 on week days and between 10.00 and 18.00 on Saturdays.
This new bus is blue, rather that green like the other busses, making it easier to distinguish. It is financed by the Stavanger council in cooperation with Transnova. Kolumbus administrates the bus route with Boreal employed drivers. This new project, which is in a trial phase, will run at least till the end of the year.
If you have any questions about the route you can contact Kolumbus through their website or by phone at 177.
