Klepp is located right in the middle of the Jæren region, approximately 25 km south of Stavanger.
The nature and scenery are dominated by agricultural areas, mild coastal climate, shallow lakes and long sandy beaches. The municipality covers an area of 115 km2 where 80 km2 is agricultural land.
