Description

Preikestolen Mountain Lodge is located at the starting point of the hike to the Pulpit Rock. The extraordinary architecture of the building along with the beautiful surroundings in the area, are all important in creating a stimulating visit for the guests. The mountain lodge is a building that meets the standards for accessibility, allergy and environmental demands. In 2009 the lodge received the annual building award (Statens byggeskikkpris) from the Norwegian state. The Preikestolen Mountain Lodge has 27 rooms that are all en suite, a restaurant and a cafeteria, a lounge with fireplace as well as a meeting room. In addition there is the possibility of accommodations in the Pulpit Rock Youth and Family Hostel, with 16 rooms, in Vatnegården there is a dormitory with 24 beds. There is also one cabin for rent. The Preikestolen Mountain Lodge is in a popular hiking area with several varied hiking possibilities.

ACTIVITIES
Fresh air clears up your mind. The area surrounding the Pulpit Rock can offer several marked trails that one could hike on your own. In addition the Pulpit Rock base camp is only half an hour away from the lodge and the activity leaders on site can propose thrilling activities in surroundings you most probably have never seen before.

AN EXQUISITE KITCHEN
The Preikestolen Mountain Lodge is renowned world wide for its good cuisine. The local ingredients of the season are always in focus, and the kitchen crew will always aspire to give the guests an amazing food experience after a long day of either meetings or after a strenuous hike to the Pulpit Rock.
